1880's Gothic Revival House on 1.28 acres in
the Historic Mining Town of Mineral Point, Wisconsin; a town known
for its historic architecture, numerous artists, galleries and
delightful Saturday morning Farmers' Market.
This house was built for Jenny Jeuck, the grocer's
daughter, and is a home that exemplifies the craftsmanship of the
past in what is old and new. The house is surrounded by a number
of perennial gardens, mature trees (including the state's
largest Star Magnolia Tree) , a hundred foot long stone wall, fenced
kitchen garden and fruit trees in the back.
The Front Parlor has bay windows, french doors that led to library/study
and a Jotul wood burning stove for added charm and warmth to the
room. The Formal Dinning Room has a newly installed oak staircase
with white wainscoating to brighten winter days. The Library has
oak bookcases and cabinets. The library door to the front porch
has a transom with a stain glass window featuring the Star Magnolia's
flower. The Front Porch has all new thermal pane windows and is
fully insulated. Zoned heating has been added to make this a four
season room.
